2. Data We Collect
We collect two categories of data:

If you use the app without signing in, all data stays on your device only (browser localStorage). Nothing is sent to our servers until you choose to sign in.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To keep your favorites, visits, and routes synced across your devices
- To display your reviews on location pages within the app
- To process issue reports and improve location data accuracy
- To authenticate your identity via your chosen sign-in method
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond what is described in Section 4.

Your account and associated data (favorites, visits, routes) are retained as long as your account is active. Reviews and reports may be retained after account deletion as they are part of public location data.
If you sign in anonymously (without an account), your session data is stored in your browser and is automatically cleared when you clear your browser data.

You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Delete your account and all associated personal data
- Export your favorites, visits, and routes
- Withdraw consent at any time by signing out

7. Cookies & Local Storage
ArchWander uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your preferences, favorites, and session data on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you sign in to enable cross-device sync. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
8. Children's Privacy
ArchWander is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
